Kootenay Begins Drilling, Reports on Metallurgy

Kootenay Gold (TSX-V: KTN) reported today that a new 5000 meter drill program has started athe the Promontorio project in Mexico.  The drilling is focusing on targets identified in the Dorotea trend and the Promontorio pit area.

Kootenay also reported on metallurical results conducted on a sample extracted from drill hole KP22 in the Pit Discovery.  A 115 kilogram sample was used to produce concentrates.  Results included 85 percent lead recovery, 89 percent ssilver recovery, 91 percent zinc recovery and 93 percent gold recovery.  Test work continues.
