Precious Metals: silver up 26 cents
FXstreet.com reports December silver will be up around 26 cents an ounce.
At 8:01 a.m. EDT, spot gold was trading down $1.95 to $888.75. In overnight activity, spot gold in Europe continued to fluctuate with the U.S. dollar and was pushed down Wednesday by the strength of the currency. Profit-taking pushed down gold in Asia Wednesday, with prices sagging nearly 2% at one stage, but ongoing jitters over the global financial system protected the yellow metal from stronger selling pressure.
